Scuba diving socks

So you're getting ready to go scuba diving and you have packed all of your gear, from your wetsuit to your fins. But did you remember your scuba diving socks? Yes, that's right, there are socks made especially for scuba diving!

Scuba diving socks are not your typical cotton sock. Scuba diving socks are made of a high quality neoprene, the same material as your wetsuit. There are a wide variety of styles of scuba diving socks, ranging from a low top diving sock, resembling a low cut sock, which is designed to be worn with tennis shoes, to a high top diving sock, which resembles a hiking sock.

Some scuba diving socks come with a sole, much like a tennis show sole, for comfort when walking without fins along the beach or for comfort when snorkeling. Other scuba diving socks come without a sole for increased flexibility and movement. Some of the high-topped scuba diving socks come with elastic bands at the top to aid in the minimization of water movement.

Scuba diving socks come in a variety of thickness, with the most common thickness ranging from 2mm to 5mm. Many scuba diving socks come lined with''foam” for the ultimate in warmth and insulation. Some scuba diving socks have a zipper to aid in putting the scuba diving sock on your feet, while others are made with no zipper and invisible seams for the ultimate comfort.

Scuba diving socks are designed to be lightweight and easily packed and transported. Scuba diving socks are intended to be worn underneath your fins or dive boots, as a layer of insulation between your feet and the cold ocean water. Scuba diving socks also provide the added benefit of keeping your feet from developing those pesky blisters that often result from the rubbing of the fins against your feet. Another added benefit of scuba diving socks is obtaining a better fit from your fins or dive boots.

Scuba diving suits, like neoprene wet suits, are intended to fit snugly, almost like a second layer of skin, for warmth and insulation from water. As with all diving gear, scuba diving socks can come with a wide assortment of price tags. However, in general, scuba diving socks are moderately priced. Of course, a lot of the price will depend on the brand, style, and features you elect in your scuba diving socks.
