The american idol tour

The current American Idol tour started on 1st of July 2008 and is scheduled to run until September the 13th. With 53 shows lined up in just as many cities, the twelve finalists present their talent to the fans who have been supporting them throughout the American Idol competition.

Glendale, Arizona, was the place where the American Idol Tour 2008 started. The line up started with Chikezie, who was voted off tenth on the show, but did a very energetic bit, a perfect starter for the night, and went down to the two Davids, Archuleta and Cook who were in the grand finale. All of the contestants sang 3 songs; the two Davids sang four, with a few ensemble songs here and there. It was noted that Kristy Lee Cook looked even more fantastic than on TV and sang much better, clearly declaring the forthcoming country music star destination. Carly Smithson seemed to have an even greater voice capability than was perceivable in the show, Brooke, who is a hometown girl in Glendale, was the Singer/Songwriter excellence just like she presented herself during the American Idol run. David Archuleta was the usual love boat crooner, and David Cook showed everybody why he won the competition. Aside from a few glitches, like Jason Castro's Ukulele was not plugged in for his first song, there was a very positive feel to the show; everybody was relaxed, except for Ramiele, who was a bit overwhelmed, and the audience, who was a bit lame. But from show to show, the performances improved, and once they got to California it took really off.

Before, sometime during the day, and after the concerts there is always a possibility for fans to get autographs and pictures with the stars, they really do come out and interact with the fans, everybody seems very relaxed, forthcoming and friendly. Sometimes, at certain concerts, some of the American Idol Tour performers do not come out to meet the fans, that's because they have PR, press and TV obligations, doing interviews and such. But whenever they can, they approach fans and give them autographs and take pictures with them. Kristy has even a little gimmick going, whoever has a sign with her name on it, and waves it so that she can take notice, gets a little present from her. At one occasion she was handing out cowboy hats with her signature on them.

Almost every single spectator lauded the show as the best show ever, with words full of praise. The American Idol Tour 2008 is the most successful tour yet. According to the fans, the American Idol Tour is truly a unique experience for every fan.
