Boating
There are many forms of boating. People use boating to fish, to ski, to sail, or to simply relax. Boating, though some think of it as a "summer" activity can actually be done any time of the year! With that said, some activities are best done certain times of the year. Especially water sports, though some people are brave enough to venture into the frigid waters. Fishing can be done all year round; however, some fish bite better during certain times of the year.
Of course, boating is best done when the weather isn't bad. Those boating should make certain that there isn't any bad or severe weather in the forecast. There is nothing worse than bad weather at sea.

My getaway
Any vacation time that involves the ocean would be considered perfect for my getaway. The smell of the ocean, and the feel of the ocean spray against the face is one of the most exhilarating feelings on Earth and I would make sure that I included that in my getaway. My getaway would be a time where I could consider myself for a change and not have other people around me. A selfish time, my getaway would be spent on total relaxation.
Hours spent walking the shoreline of a private beach would be made part of my getaway. The location of the beach, in a foreign or domestic country is not a concern. In my eyes, they are lovely either way. Preferably, I would love to have someone that I love sharing my getaway, but with the understanding that this time is special and meant for me to enjoy. Selfishness is so rare for a parent. Time is always allotted for transporting, educating and entertaining the children. The personal self is placed on a back burner and only allowed to emerge after the children go to sleep. My getaway would give me the chance to sleep in for a change, and be able to drink some coffee in the morning without hunting for a shoe, or preparing a lunch meal for my child.
My getaway retreat would have to have a steam room, and a tanning bed with a Jacuzzi bath built for two in the corner. The meals for my getaway would be littered with steaks and seafood, and pasta till it came out of my ears. Rich sauces, of any kind, extra spicy is how I would like mine. With my getaway, someone else gets to cook, and I amy, spend the day actually having the time to read a romance novel.
My getaway retreat would offer massages for hours, with a man draped in shorts and me in a towel. Nonewithstanding and never forgetting to add manicures and pedicures, my feet need their beauty returned immediately! When my getaway happens and one day I am sure it will, it will follow the graduation day, of my only child. Sounds selfish I am sure, but that's what my getaway is all about. Leonardo DiCaprio sought to distance himself from the purity of his character in Titanic, and his role in The Beach is in many ways a polar opposite. As Richard, a young American seeking to "suck in the experience" of freestyle travel in Thailand, he's a chronic liar, a pot-smoking hedonist, an amoral lover, and ultimately an unstable snake in a doomed Garden of Eden. This crazy descent might be expected from the filmmakers of Trainspotting, but The Beach is a movie without a rudder, venturing into fascinating territory, promising a stimulating adventure, and then careening out of control. After receiving a not-so-secret map to a secluded island from a stoned-out loony (Robert Carlyle, full of dark portent and spittle), Richard sets out to find the hidden paradise with a young French couple (Virginie Ledoyen, Guillaume Canet). What they find is a tropical commune existing in delicate balance with Thai pot farmers, and before long--as always--there's trouble in paradise. There's trouble in the movie, too, as DiCaprio is reduced to histrionics when the plot turns into a muddled mix of Lord of the Flies and Apocalypse Now, with shark attacks tossed in for shallow tension. Director Danny Boyle attempts perfunctory romance and a few audacious moves (notably DiCaprio's vision of life as a violent video game), but what's the point? Satellite antenna theory
Satellite antenna theory works on the principles of a geometric property of a parabola. When the parabola receives waves parallel to its axis, it reflects them to a single point known as focus. The concentrated waves at this point become a stronger signal. This is the reason why all the satellite antennas are manufactured in the shape of a parabola. The signals in the form of microwaves which are received from the communication satellites are directed towards its focal point. This is done so as to have a very high signal at one point and it is easier to amplify these concentrated signals.
At the focus of the antenna, a device called feedhorn is used. Feedhorn is a part of the waveguide which captures the microwaves coming around the focal point and sends it to the LNB (Low noise block converter). Sometimes the incoming beams after getting reflected from the dish may get obstructed in reaching the focal point due to the waveguide. For avoiding such a situation, the antenna theory suggests to offset the signals.
To obtain the desired offset, the antenna theory suggests raising the amount of signal by an amount equal to the amount of offset desired. Thus, to obtain an offset of 10 degrees, the signals have to be raised by 10 degrees. The feedhorn receives the signals at this focal point and transmit it to LNB which focuses the signals onto a specific small area. The signals received are amplified. During amplification process, some noise is also generated but it is kept at a very low level. This is done to avoid any problems in further transmission.
The antenna theory further states that the signals are then converted from electromagnetic (microwaves are electromagnetic waves) to electrical signals by the Low Noise Block converters. The theoretical or directive gain is proportional to the square of frequency and circular aperture of the parabola. Thus, the theoretical gain increases as the frequency of signal increases. However, practical constraints reduce the theoretical gain by 40-45% and the actual gain obtained is 55-60% of the theoretical gain.
