The most beautiful part of Hawaii is the beaches that surround the islands. Hawaii's beaches are far more amazing that any other beaches in the world. Let me tell you why, Hawaii has beaches of all shapes and sizes but the one factor that makes them stand out from all the rest is the sand that is one those beaches. Depending on which area of the island that you are on, the color of the sand differs from one another. On the North end of the island you will rest your feet on white sandy beaches that consist of crushed shells and corals. On the Southeast part of the island you will be walking on black sand beaches that have came about as a result of volcanoes. On the Southern most tips you will find green sand beaches that are made of olivine crystals that are very rare. Now that you know the difference in the sand texture and color, I am going to tell you about a couple of beaches that you may want to visit while you are walking along Hawaii Beaches.
Honokohau Beach is a white sand beach; it is here that you will be able to enjoying swimming in the Pacific Ocean. You can also relax and listen to the sound of the wild birds talking to you and others that are around trying to get you to pay them some attention. You may also want to watch the ducks swimming in the pond or just kick back and relish the scenery. No matter what your intentions are, this is a wonderful place to grab a towel and lie out on the beach and catch some rays.
Punaluu is a black sand beach; it is here that you be able to enjoy the soothing massaging feeling of the lava granules under your feet giving you a light massage as you gently brush against them. This is a wonderful place to swim, however you need to watch the currents here because they can be dangerous.
Kamoamoa is also a black sand beach which is now a part of history and lies in the Volcano National Park. Puu Mahana is a green sand beach and is one of the few if it is not the only one.
No matter what beach you choose to visit, you are sure to get a real treat. You have the sun shining down on you, the watering winking at you with every wave that crashes ashore and the wind in your hair, what else could you need?
